NIDC is the State Channelising Agency (SCA) nominated by the Govt. of Nagaland for the making funds available through concessional loans to the various sections of the public of Nagaland. The various schemes that NIDC has been associated with are:

• National Scheduled Tribes Finance Development Corporation (NSTFDC) from 1992-93
• National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC) from 1997-98.
• National Safai Karamcharis Finance & Development Corporation (NSKFDC) schemes in the State from 2015-16.

Under these various schemes, assistance amounting to over 404.33 crore has been disbursed to 7659 entrepreneurs and the generation of employment, both direct as well as indirect, is estimated at 16,144.
